How do I become a member?
In order to take a class you must be a member of AIA Studios. To become a member call AIA Studios at 818-563-4142 to make an appointment to audition/interview for membership with a career consultant who will determine your eligibility.

What should I bring to the Audition/Interview?
Bring your resume and headshot. Bring any additional marketing materials. Please come as you would to an audition. We are interested in seeing exactly how you present yourself.

What happens in the Audition/Interview?
Please be prepared to meet with a career consultant for approximately 1 hour. In order for your career consultant to be able to work hand in hand in developing your career you will fill out a career/goal assessment.

Once the assessment is complete you will have the opportunity to either perform your signature two-minute monologue or we will provide you with sides for a cold reading. This will allow us to see what level you are at. In addition to your audition/interview your headshot, resume and marketing materials will also evaluated to ensure they are producing results.

What Level am I?
AIA Studios currently offers three levels of classes. Each level has been designed based on what we have heard from Casting Directors, Agents and other industry professionals over the past 20 years. Each level is designed to ensure that you are in the best environment to support where you are at in your career. Our members are encouraged to re-audition every 3 months to assess your progress.

Is there a fee for the Audition/Interview for Membership?
Your initial 1 hour audition/interview is complimentary. AIA Studios has built a remarkable community of committed actors, this initial audition/interview is to determine if you will be the right fit for this community.

What is the difference between Industry and Development classes?
"Industry" classes are defined as all courses taught at AIA Studios by Casting Professionals, Agents and/or Managers that focus on the Business of Acting.

"Development" classes are defined as all courses taught by Industry Instructors that focus on specialties such as acting technique, hosting, voice over, and audition technique.
