AIA ACTORS STUDIO ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF THE PREMIERE LA HOSTING DIVISION
AIA Actors Studio is celebrating over 20 years of advancing careers and has launched a brand new division in its multi-faceted company that will focus on providing an innovative platform for actors, experts, and real people with unique skills to brand themselves as a host and create a recognized global brand.
Many actors including Greg Kinnear, Aisha Tyler and our very own alumni Hal Sparks, have launched successful television and film careers based on the exposure they have received from hosting various shows.
During a recent Signature Forum held at AIA Actors Studio, distinguished agent John Ferriter, who is Senior Vice President and Head of Non-Scripted Television for The William Morris Agency, stressed that some of his most notable clients have diversified their careers by hosting various television shows. John stressed how important it is to know how to think outside of the box and be open-minded to new opportunities in this ever-changing industry.
AIA Studios is always creating new ways for artists to expand their possibilities in the entertainment industry. This new division will give people the opportunity to learn how to establish and develop their brand, perfect the art of auditioning on camera for any network, red carpet techniques, how to speak in sound bytes, enhancing your headshots/resumes/demo reels, how to speak and improve your read and interview skills, working with co-hosts, improv hosting, scripted hosting, and how to create and launch your own show. In addition, we will be offering private coaching and one-on-one feedback sessions.
Our faculty of instructors includes some of the most distinguished and prominent industry professionals in television today. Learn first hand from casting directors, producers, agents, and managers who are representing people and businesses.
Previous outstanding teachers and speakers, who are not strangers to the acting/ hosting business, include: Mark Wahlberg, Jeff Probst, John Ferriter of William Morris Agency, Tom Green, and Melissa Rivers, just to mention a few.
If you are excited about the opportunities this new venture could create in your career, contact the studio to hear about our upcoming hosting intensives!

What You Tell Casting Directors Without Saying Anything, with Dr. Lillian Glass
Thank you to Lillian Glass, PhD for joining us at the Studio in November.
Lillian offered great insight and humor about what we tell people about ourselves through our voice and body language and how it affects our acting.
We are honored that Lillian took time out of her very busy speaking and writing schedule to
join us for an evening.
Learn from Jason Alexander, Emmy Nominated and Tony Award Winning Actor
AIA Studio's Master Class Instructor and an Emmy Nominated and Tony Award Winning actor, Jason Alexander will be teaching a Master Class on demystifying the audition process.
The class will be on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at The Colony Theatre in Burbank.
Jason believes in teaching through examples. There will be 12-20 actors selected from the event to perform a two minute monologue for him to dissect. He will work on helping actors master their characters for both auditions and the work itself. Actors will be taken through his 3-step process.
In addition, he will go over the business of Los Angeles, offer insight, share his own stories and answer questions from the actors.
Space is limited for this great opportunity to learn from one of the best. Call your consultant today!
Coming Soon: Members will have access to video footage from the day.
AIA Studios says "thank you" to Jane Jenkins, CSA and Janet Hirshenson, CSA who launched the Signature Series at AIA Studios on January 31st.
The Q&A with Jane and Janet

remarkable casting directors join us for an evening at the Studio.
